These Terms of Service (the "Terms") set out the conditions for using the website and games (including Typing Battle and Stella Orbs; collectively, the "Service") provided by UAJ Studio (the "Operator") at https://uaj-studio.com/. Anyone who uses the Service (a "User") must agree to these Terms before using it.
Article 1 (Scope)
These Terms apply to all relationships between the Operator and Users concerning use of the Service. Any individual notices or rules that the Operator posts on the Service also form part of these Terms.
Article 2 (Description of the Service)
The Service provides games that can be played in a browser. The games are free to play, but paid items may be sold in some games (Article 12). Communication charges and similar costs incurred in using the Service are borne by the User.
Typing Battle is a real-time, one-on-one competitive typing game. It has a Japanese mode and an English mode.
In Typing Battle, Casual Match and matches against friends (using a room code) can be played as a guest, without logging in.
On any page of the Service, you can log in with a Google account or an email address. Logging in with an email address uses either a verification code sent to you by email or a passkey saved on your device (a login method confirmed by fingerprint, face, PIN or the like). Login uses a single account shared across the Service, and records are managed under the same account for any services added in the future. You can change your nickname and check your records for each service from My Page (/account). Logging in is optional. However, logging in is required to play Ranked Match in Typing Battle and the stages of Stella Orbs.
Logging in is required for Ranked Match in Typing Battle. The match record and rank points of a logged-in User are stored on the Service.
Stella Orbs is a single-player puzzle game. It includes stages in which a party of characters fights enemies, the Daily Challenge, and more. Progress, characters and items are saved to the logged-in account (logging in is required to play the stages; while you are not logged in, you can play only the parts that run inside your own browser, such as the trial display and practice). "Star Core" is used for the in-game gacha, for continuing, and for other purposes. It comes in two kinds: free Star Core, which is granted through gameplay, rewards, and together with purchases of paid Star Core; and paid Star Core, which you purchase by paying a price (Article 12). Star Core cannot be exchanged for cash and cannot be transferred to another account (refunds of paid Star Core are governed by Article 12). See the Privacy Policy for what is stored.
Stella Orbs is a work of fiction. It draws on myth, folklore, and history, but has no relation to any real persons, organizations, or religions.
Article 3 (Prohibited Acts)
In using the Service, Users must not engage in any of the following acts.
Using automation tools such as macros, automatic input, or automated operation tools
Tampering with the Service's client, programs, or communications
In Typing Battle, manipulating input or match results by unfair means, such as input that clearly exceeds the limits of human typing speed
Deliberately exploiting a defect in the Service for one's own advantage
Attacking the Service's servers or network, or placing an excessive load on them
Gaining unauthorized access to the Service's systems or to another person's account, or attempting to do so
Harassing or defaming other Users, or otherwise causing them trouble
Using a nickname or feedback content that is contrary to public order and morals or that makes other Users uncomfortable
Impersonating the Operator or a third party
Using the Service for commercial purposes without the Operator's permission
Violating laws and regulations, or acting in a way that may do so
Any other act that the Operator deems inappropriate
Article 4 (Response to Cheating and Similar Acts)
If a User violates the preceding article, or the Operator judges that a User may have done so, the Operator may take measures such as the following without prior notice.
Deleting or correcting records such as match records, rank points, and scores in Typing Battle and Stella Orbs
Restricting use of all or part of the Service
Any other measures the Operator deems necessary
To detect and prevent cheating in Typing Battle, the Operator may use data about input during matches. See the Privacy Policy for details on the information collected. If you find cheating, you can report it through the feedback page.
Article 5 (Handling of Rank and Match Record Data)
Data such as Typing Battle rank points, tiers, and match records may be changed or initialized (reset) in connection with specification changes to the Service, responses to defects, maintenance, and the like. The Operator does not guarantee that this data will be stored or maintained in the future.
Stella Orbs is a game that is still being prepared for its public release. The game's name, rules, controls, appearance, numerical values, scoring methods, and so on may be changed or discontinued without notice (paid Star Core is handled in accordance with Article 12). Data such as best scores stored in your browser may be erased or initialized as a result of these changes. Such data is also not carried over if you delete your browser data or play on a different browser or device. The Operator does not guarantee that this data will be stored or maintained.
Article 6 (Changes, Suspension, and Termination of the Service)
The Operator may change the content of the Service, or suspend or terminate all or part of the Service, without prior notice to Users. The Service may also become temporarily unavailable owing to system maintenance or inspection, the occurrence of failures, the state of communication environments or external services, and the like.
Article 7 (Display of Advertising)
The Service may display advertising such as Google AdSense. For how cookies are handled in delivering advertising, see the Privacy Policy.
Article 8 (Handling of Personal Information)
User information is handled in accordance with the separately established Privacy Policy.
Article 9 (Disclaimer)
The Operator does not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, usefulness, or continuity of the content of the Service, or that the Service will be free of defects or failures.
The Operator is not liable for defects, disconnections, data loss, effects on match results, and the like that are caused by the communication environment or by the User's device, browser, or other environment.
The Operator is not liable for disputes that arise between Users or between a User and a third party.
The Operator is not liable for damage incurred by a User as a result of the measures under Article 4 or the changes, suspension, or termination under Article 6.
The provisions of the preceding paragraphs do not apply where the Operator has acted intentionally or negligently.
Article 10 (Intellectual Property Rights)
Copyrights and other intellectual property rights in the Service belong to the Operator or to third parties who lawfully hold such rights. Users must not reproduce, republish, modify, or otherwise use the content of the Service without the Operator's permission. Some of the illustrations, music, sound effects, text, and other material in the Service were created using generative AI.
Article 11 (Changes to These Terms)
The Operator may change these Terms as necessary. If it does so, it will announce the change on the Service. A User who uses the Service after such an announcement is deemed to have agreed to the revised Terms.
Paid Star Core is granted to the User's account when the Operator receives notice from the payment processor that payment has been completed.
When a User purchases Paid Star Core, the Operator may also grant free Star Core. The number granted is shown on the purchase screen. This free Star Core is not eligible for a refund.
When Star Core is used, free Star Core obtained through game rewards and the like (including that granted together with a purchase) is used first, and Paid Star Core is used for any shortfall.
Except where required by law, Paid Star Core is not refundable. It also cannot be transferred, sold, or lent to another account.
Minor Users must obtain the consent of their legal representative (parent or guardian) before making a purchase. The Operator sets an upper limit on the amount that can be purchased in one month for each age category. Users shall declare their age category accurately.
If a purchase is canceled at the payment processor (through a refund, chargeback, or the like), the Operator will deduct the corresponding Paid Star Core and the free Star Core granted with that purchase. If there is not enough free Star Core, the shortfall is deducted from Paid Star Core. If there is not enough Paid Star Core, the balance becomes negative, and Star Core cannot be used while the balance is negative.
If a User deletes their account (withdraws from the Service), any unused Paid Star Core is forfeited and is not refunded.
If the Operator ends the provision of the Service (including Stella Orbs), it will refund unused Paid Star Core in accordance with the Payment Services Act and other laws and regulations. The method and period of the refund will be announced on the Service at the time of termination.
Article 13 (Account Management)
Users are responsible for managing the Google account, the email address (including its inbox), and the device on which the passkey is saved that they use to log in.
The Operator treats any operation performed on a User's account as an operation by that User.
If an account has been used by a third party, or there is a risk of this, please contact us promptly through the feedback page. The Operator will take necessary measures, such as invalidating logins.
The Operator is not liable for damage incurred by a User because the User's login information or device was used by a third party. This does not apply, however, where the Operator has acted intentionally or negligently.
Article 14 (Deletion of Inactive Accounts)
The Operator may delete an account that has not been used for two years from the date on which it was last logged in to and used for the Service.
Before deleting an account, the Operator will send a notice to the account's email address about 30 days and 7 days before the date of deletion. If the account is logged in to and used for the Service after a notice, it will not be deleted.
The effect of deletion is the same as when a User deletes their own account (withdraws from the Service) (see "5. Data Retention Period" in the Privacy Policy).
An account that still holds unused Paid Star Core is not subject to deletion under this article.
Use before the date on which this article was established (October 22, 2026) is counted as use on that date.
Article 15 (Governing Law and Jurisdiction)
These Terms are governed by the laws of Japan. If a dispute arises concerning the Service, it shall be resolved in the court having jurisdiction under the Code of Civil Procedure.
